Hey.

I'm Piotr, and I like to build things. Even more than that I like to build teams that build things. Based in Poland.

Now

Leading engineering at a consulting firm building AI systems for enterprise clients. Part team lead, engineer, part the person who debugs running apps.

Before

Spent a decade growing R&D office from zero to ~25 engineers - hiring, mentoring, and shipping indoor location products deployed to hundreds of thousands of devices. Over 200 interviews conducted. Started as a solo contractor, ended up running the whole operation as an engineering manager.

Co-founded panGenerator, a new media art collective. We made kinetic sculptures, interactive installations for museums, and instruments for public spaces. Won a Cannes Golden Lion, KTR awards, and Paszporty Polityki along the way.

Things I've Learned

The best systems are the ones your team can maintain without you. Good hiring matters more than good architecture. Most production incidents are communication failures in disguise. 80% of success in engineering comes from good communications. And sometimes the right solution is a $2 microcontroller, not a Kubernetes cluster.
